The market for MDU
BPL is heating up live
audio conference
This conference has been cancelled A subsidiary of big Midwest IOU Ameren teamed up with a respected regional ISP to enter the broadband market for multi-dwelling unit (MDU) buildings -- such as apartment complexes, condos, hotels and resorts -- throughout the IOU's footprint using Telkonet BPL technology. The market is huge, the BPL technology is ready for deployment, the sales pitch includes lightning fast installs and robust bandwidth -- and the applications for landlords, utilities and consumers are already compelling. So what's the hold-up? The MDU is finally heating up. BPL Today reported the few players in this virtually untapped and incredibly vast market segment including BPL hardware-maker Telkonet and some integrator/operators. Now big-name firms are here and more are expected soon. Motorola recently unveiled its latest BPL product -- an MDU gateway device to help create that firm's vision of seamless mobility inside and outside buildings. EarthLink teamed up with a technology partner and a property management firm to try MDU BPL at nine buildings in the Washington DC area. Find out from these firms what opportunity they see and how your firm could benefit.
